Hit me with any questions.ĮDIT: I haven't shared my board here in a couple of years, but everything else here has been going strong for the better part of a year or longer. And also, most of them would probably the usual "OMG THIS DELAY CAN BE A CHORUS TOO!"Īnyway, this is getting long but I'd peg it as the most practical and inspiring of the pedals they've released. Because it's actually nice not being beat over the head with a product release. I'm torn on complaining about there not being any demos. I kept having to pause and reference the guide. The combinations of lights and the order don't really give any indication of which one you're on. The modulation waveform display is kind of annoying. The quick-start guide was fine, but the lack of suggested settings doesn't give any frame of reference for explorations. Similar issue as Particle V2 with pedals shipping without full user manuals available online. Some light and slow modulation and minimal feedback resulted in some incredible pitch-bending/echoing repeats. Using this with a little restraint got me pretty far. A lot of the "experimental" delay pedals I'm used to (at least without MIDI exploration) made me operate within the framework of predictable patterns, but this is fairly open. The multiple waveforms make this thing really special. Discontinued products, closeouts, and demo products: These items are final sales. V1 could be a bit wild and metallic sounding, but this seems to have tamed things a bit. This item is in stock and typically ships within 1-2 business days. Randomization takes a single quickly-looped note and bounces it all over. exPed gives you whammy style moves and fully wet, you can do instant pitch jumps jamming the button. The improvement on the sound quality of the pitch was the first thing I noticed. biffoz said: It overlaps with CT5, same dual-buffer approach to realtime looping, but 2 other modes: replace and overdub. But the key controls are all up front, so after getting a feel for the range of waveform modulation speed and depth and exploring some of the new features it all made sense pretty quick. V1 was an incredibly deep pedal and this is no exception. I think a lot of people heard the "Rainbow Machine" sounds and the Bowser's Castle-esc arpeggios and moved on. Having the option of a great sounding digital delay and being able to kick on the pitch shifter for something creative was incredible. V1 was one of my favorite delay pedals of all time, but I parted with it due to lack of tap tempo and a few other minor complaints.Īnyway, I always found it to be underrated in their lineup. I'm digging it though. The Raster landed yesterday. The control of various delay time ranges allows you, like the eventide Rose, to get a lot of different effects besides delay. It is both out of control, but not out of control. I really like the way this pedal feeds back. Setups: 0 setups using this Videos: 0 demo videos Alternatives: 0. There are just so many things you can do with that type of control, and I'll try and show this in the demo. Now 175.00 (updated 11 hours ago): Red Panda Raster, Guitar Pedals & Effects. Stereo and the various mixing options is where the pedal gets really fun. Also some sounds from the Pladask Romfred. Catalinbread bicycle delay, along with any other pedals that do the constant rising or descending repeats. I hear some of Alexander Pedals Super Neo-Matic in here. Demo Deals DJ Drum Machines & Samplers Gift Cards Headphones Liquidation Microphones. They create algorithms that behave in an organic and natural way. Some of the phasey pulseyness of the Pladask Feber is in here. Red Panda designs and manufactures DSP-based pedals for experimentally-minded musicians. Playing with all the various other options, I hear a lot of different pedals in this pedal. DSP-pedal builder Red Panda has announced the Raster 2, a new iteration of its delay/ pitch-shifter stompbox, which adds a host of performance friendly control options. The updated design also adds new knobs for fast rack-mount style control. So for the straight up boring stuff, I'd be perfectly happy with it. Red Panda’s Raster 2 combines a stereo delay with a pitch shifter for sonic mayhem. It's right up there with the best digital delays I've had the fortune of playing. So on that alone I would recommend the pedal. The addition of a lot of modulation options is also great. Just the basic delay and tone control allows for great control over percussive repeats or a bit darker ones. Figured I'd give my thoughts so far.įor just a basic pristine digital delay, I really like it. I've spent a lot of time with this yesterday and today.
